We’ve heard from you that it would be great to have trade-specific spaces in the STACK Community — places where you can connect with others in your trade, swap ideas, and share your expertise.

Now we want to know: which trade groups should we build first?

💭 Your feedback helps shape what’s next — drop a quick comment if there’s another trade you’d like to see or if you’d be interested in helping get one started!

Which trade-specific groups would you be most interested in joining?

I’d have picked more than one if it was multiple choice. I’m quoting whole houses, so I end up touching on a couple three of those topics.

@craig.parker thank you for participating! Unfortunately the community polls only allow us to give you guys a single option. We’ll keep this in mind for future polls. What other trade-specific spaces would you be interested in out of curiousity?

Concrete, Framing, and Roofing were the three I’d have picked.

I would like to be able to at least have a notification setting for all of them.  I estimate for a GC but we self execute the following:

Concrete, steel erection, field welding, architectural metal work, roofing, siding, interior paint, framing, masonry, tile, window/door installation, fabricate and install interior trim/cabinets/interior doors, interior/exterior handrails (in house custom fabricated SS), 1/3 of the site work, ½ of the landscaping.

I also estimate for our site work (on our projects only) subcontractor as they are T&M but I need budget numbers.  He has a very good/talented crew of operators but hates office work.  I actually send him the monthly spreadsheet and he just sends back an invoice after review. He actually makes more money this way b/c I catch a lot of his misses on billing.
